NAIA VOLLEYBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP APPROACHES
ICE Shares about what to watch for in this year’s championship
Chicago, IL: The 39th annual volleyball national championship is to start on November 27th in Sioux City, IA. Of the 44 teams in the NAIA, 33 automatically qualified for the tournament including two Illinois schools: Saint Xavier and Trinity Christian. Local club organization, ICE Volleyball, shares what to watch for in this year’s tournament: Grand View (Iowa), Lindsey Wilson (Kentucky), and Dordt (Iowa).
Coach Michael Quiroz says, “Iowa’s Grand View is definitely one to watch. They are the only undefeated team playing this year. Also, Lindsey Wilson (Kentucky) and Dordt (Iowa) are last year’s winner and runner up, so they are one’s to watch, too.” Quiroz also notes, “Trinity Christian College is a local one to watch, and playing Bellevue in the opening round matches.”
Quiroz also advises all prospective college volleyball players to watch the tournament to gain insight on the sport and the competition that is currently out there. The NAIA Network allows users to stream the matches online. Passes for access to viewing range from $9.95 per day to $39.95 for the entire tournament.
Again, watch for the following in this year’s NAIA Volleyball Championship
Grand View (Iowa)
